Ken Cunningham CBE, General Secretary
Ken supports the SLS office bearers in their work with the association; leads and works with the professional team of Admin, CPD and Communications staff and Field Officer service; represents the Association on a wide range of committees and organisations; and, along with the Presidential Team, responds to media requests ensuring the Association’s views are heard by media and government. He along with the Field Officer and Office staff are available on a daily basis to respond to members’ requests for information or support.
Dr Alastair Noble, Field Officer
Alastair is the SLS Field Officer. Formerly an HMIe and Head of Service, he deals with all aspects of member support, particularly advice and representation. He is available to take members' enquiries at all times and aims for a 24 hr initial response. He liaises closely with the support team at ASCL from whom he can obtain legal advice when required. He also works closely with the General Secretary of SLS and contributes to SLS publications and CPD.
Lyn Honnan, Admin/Finance Manager
Lyn joined HAS in 1996. As the Association has grown her range to duties and hours have increased to provide support to the members. She oversees the day to day running of SLS which includes Accounts, membership enquiries, Council & Executive, Annual Conference and liaises with the Presidential Team and General Secretary to ensure that members receive up to the minute information quickly and effectively.
Margaret Malcolm, CPD Administrator
Margaret has been with the Association for nearly 7 years. In this time she has moved from being an Admin Assistant to providing excellent support to the CPD programme. She arranges all the events, produces the publications and provides support on the day for delegates. She also plays a role in the preparation of the Annual Conference giving Lyn support when time allows.
Greig Ingram, Communication Manager
Head Teacher of Stirling High School 1994 - Feb 2008. Represented Stirling Council and served as Convener of the Professional and Management Committee.
As Communication Manager Greig will co-ordinate communications via the SLS Magazine, the Website and E-Bulletins, in conjunction with the Communication Committee.
